Brow Lamination: Who Is It For — and Not For?
Does needle-free fullness suit every brow? Here are the right candidates and what to watch for.
Brow lamination is the most popular needle-free brow treatment of recent years: hairs are set upward with special solutions for a fuller, brushed look.
Who Is It Ideal For?
- Unruly, scattered or downward-growing brow hairs
- Those with existing hairs wanting a fuller look
- Anyone not ready for permanent makeup, seeking a needle-free option
Who Is It Not For?
- Very sparse or patchily lost brows: lamination shapes existing hair, it cannot create hair that isn't there; hairstroke or hybrid brows are the right address then
- Active skin problems in the brow area (eczema, dermatitis)
- Severely damaged, over-processed hairs: care first, lamination later
Combining It with Permanent Makeup
Lamination and PMU are complements, not rivals: PMU builds the base and form, lamination lifts existing hairs into that form. The two can be combined, planned so healing periods don't overlap.
