Color Correction & Revision

Old permanent makeup that has turned grey, red or orange over time, lost its shape or become asymmetric can be corrected with colour theory and neutralisation knowledge. Colour correction and revision is a holistic process from analysing the old work to a new design; the goal is to update not only the colour but also the shape and symmetry of the brow to a current, natural state.

Who Is It For?

It is ideal for clients with permanent makeup done elsewhere that they were not happy with — colour that has changed, faded or thickened, or a shape that is out of date. Whatever the state of the old work, the decision is always made after a prior analysis.

How Is It Done?

First the colour, depth and density of the existing pigment are analysed. As needed, the unwanted tone (grey, red, orange) is balanced with neutralising pigments, then a new design suited to your facial proportions is applied. If the pigment density is very high, lightening it first with laser/chemical removal may be recommended. The process is planned entirely individually.

Healing Process and Session Plan

• **Session 1:** Analysis, neutralisation or partial correction.
• **4–8 week gap:** Full healing of the skin and settling of the colour is awaited.
• **Sessions 2–3 (if needed):** The new design is strengthened according to the final state of the colour. Depending on the intensity of the old work, 1–3 sessions may be planned.

Longevity and Aftercare

The new result created after correction generally lasts 1–3 years depending on the technique and skin type. Tissue-friendly, low-trauma protocols are used; skin health is a priority at every step. Sun protection and the recommended aftercare help the corrected colour stay stable.
